Prof. Yangyan Shi

Macquarie University, Australia

Biography:

Professor Shi is a Chartered Fellow of the Royal Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK, Director of the Master’s program in Supply Chain Management at Macquarie University in Australia (2024 QS ranking: 130), a PhD supervisor, Chair of CILT New South Wales, a specially-appointed professor in Tianjin, Director of the Research Center for Transportation and International Supply Chain, and Member of the Review Committee for Research Fund of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region University. Prof. Shi’s research interests cover operations management, logistics management, and supply chain management. He has published over 100 research articles (including more than 65 in ABS: 3/4 and ABDC A/A* level journals), authored three academic monographs, contributed to three book chapters (published by Sage and Springer), and has published over ten professional reviews that have been reposted and reported by media across the globe. His works have been cited more than 2,900 times on Google Scholar, with an H-index exceeding 26 and an i10-index exceeding 51 in 2024. Prof. Shi has received various national-level research grants in Australia, including national social sciences and enterprise research projects, with total funding exceeding 1 million. He has been awarded a national-level prize at the 10th “Chunhui Cup” organized by the Ministry of Education and granted one Australian patent. Prof. Shi is Editor-in-Chief for the journal Computers and Industrial Engineering (ABDC: A; ABS: 2) in the field of supply chain, and the Associate Editor for Business Strategy and the Environment (ABDC: A; ABS: 3); he is also on the editorial board of several other journals, including International Journal of Operations and Production Management (ABDC: A; ABS: 4), Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review (ABDC: A*; ABS: 3), Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management (ABDC: A; ABS: 3), International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management (ABDC: A; ABS: 2), and International Journal of Logistics Management (ABDC: A). Additionally, Prof. Shi was Co-chair for the 20th ANZAM Operations, Supply Chain and Services Management Symposium, Co-chair for 2020 the International Conference on Operations and Supply Chain Management (ICOSCM) in Sydney, and Session Chair for the INFORMS Annual Meeting in 2020 and 2021. He has been invited multiple times to give keynote speeches at academic conferences across the world, including those organized by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, and China Digital Services Conference, among others.

Assoc. Prof. SOHAIB MUSTAFA

Beijing University of Technology, China

Biography:

Dr. Sohaib Mustafa holds a Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from the Beijing University of Technology (BJUT) and serves as an Associate Professor at BJUT's College of Economics and Management. His research areas include human-computer interaction, ethical AI development, technology adoption, sustainable development, and green supply chain management. Dr. Mustafa has published over 30 articles in esteemed SSCI and SCIE journals. As an Academic Editor for PLOS ONE, he has honed his research and editorial expertise. He has also designed and taught graduate courses, fostering dynamic learning environments. His background in public sector management has equipped him with strong leadership and project management skills, enabling him to lead large-scale, data-driven initiatives. Recognized with several honors, Dr. Mustafa received the Outstanding Graduate Award (2019-2023), multiple Scientific Innovation Awards (2022, 2024), and the Special Contribution Award from BJUT (2022). As BJUT's Alumni Liaison Officer (2019–2023), he strengthened alumni engagement and collaboration. Dr. Mustafa is passionate about advancing ethical technology, sustainable practices, and impactful research in academia and industry.

Assoc. Prof. Qian Yang 

Northwestern Polytechnical University, China

Biography:

Qian Yang is an Associate Professor in the School of Management at the Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU). Her main research interests is in operations management and marketing strategy. Prior to joining NPU, Dr Yang has worked at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and the South China University of Technology (SCUT). She has been selected into the "Excellent Young Talents Support Program" in Shaanxi universities in 2024. Her publications appear in Journal of Management,Journal of Business Research,International Journal of Production Economics,Industrial Marketing Management,Business Strategy and the Environment,Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review. Dr Yang also serves as the Secretary-General of academic branch of the Association of Supply Chain and Operations Management, an External Researcher at the China-Europe Supply Chain Innovation Research Institute, and an Executive Director of Marketing Committee of the Chinese Management Modernization Research Association.
